About us
The trader is Surinder Singh Chopra trading as Chopra Circuits (trading as Chopra Circuits).
Our address is 11 Swallowfield house, 450/448 bath road, Hounslow, TW4 7RR. You can contact us at admin@chopracircuits.co.uk.
We provide electrical installation and maintenance services on site in Hounslow and surrounding areas for consumers and businesses.
These terms apply to services booked through our website, by email, by telephone or by any other agreed method.
Quotes and site surveys
A quote will describe the proposed work, the price or pricing basis, and any important assumptions or exclusions. A quote is not a binding contract until we accept your booking.
If a site survey is needed, we may assess the property, access, existing installation, proposed work and any relevant risks. The quote may need to be amended if the site conditions differ from the information provided or if additional work is reasonably required.
Any charge for a site survey will be explained before the survey is arranged. We will tell you about any material change to the proposed work or price and will seek your agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work, unless urgent action is reasonably necessary to protect people or property.
Forming a booking
A contract is formed when:
- you accept our quote or otherwise clearly instruct us to carry out the work; and
- we confirm that we have accepted the booking.
We may decline or reschedule a booking where the work is unsafe, unlawful, outside our services, or cannot reasonably be carried out because the necessary information, access, permissions or facilities are not available.
The agreed scope of work, price, payment arrangements and any special conditions will be those set out in the accepted quote or booking confirmation.
Prices and what is included
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include only the work, labour, materials and other items expressly stated in the quote or booking confirmation.
Unless stated otherwise, the price does not include additional work caused by concealed defects, unexpected site conditions, changes requested by you, or work outside the agreed scope. We will explain and agree additional charges where reasonably practicable before carrying out the additional work.
For consumers, prices and any additional charges will be provided in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Deposits and payment
If a deposit is required, the amount and when it must be paid will be stated in the quote or booking confirmation. A booking may not be secured until the required deposit has been received.
The balance and any other agreed charges are payable at the time stated in the quote, booking confirmation or invoice. If no time is stated, payment is due when the work is completed or the invoice is issued, whichever is applicable.
You must not withhold payment for work that has been properly carried out, although consumers retain their statutory rights where services do not conform to the contract.
If payment is overdue, we may pause or reschedule further work after giving reasonable notice. We will not charge a consumer more than is permitted by law.
Your responsibilities
You must:
- provide accurate information about the property, existing installation and proposed work;
- provide safe and reasonable access to the site at the agreed times;
- ensure that electricity, water, parking or other facilities reasonably needed for the work are available, where applicable;
- obtain any landlord, freeholder, building owner, planning, building control or other permission that is your responsibility;
- identify known hazards, restrictions, asbestos or other dangerous materials;
- keep children, visitors and animals away from the work area; and
- ensure that a responsible person is available where this has been agreed.
You are responsible for costs or delays resulting from inaccurate information, lack of access, unavailable facilities or permissions that you were required to obtain. We will not carry out work that we reasonably believe would be unsafe or unlawful.
Scheduling, access and delays
We will agree an intended date or time window where possible. Any date or period given is an estimate unless we expressly agree that it is a contractual deadline.
We may need to delay or reschedule work because of illness, staff or supplier availability, adverse weather, unsafe conditions, emergencies, power or utility issues, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable.
If we cause a significant delay, we will work with you to agree a revised date. Consumer rights relating to performance within a reasonable time, or within an agreed essential period, are not affected.
If you are not available or cannot provide access at the agreed time, we may charge reasonable costs that we have incurred, where permitted by law and where these costs have been explained or are otherwise recoverable.
Consumers’ 14-day cancellation right
If you are a consumer and the contract is made at a distance or away from our business premises, you normally have the right to cancel the service contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancellation period runs from the day after the contract is formed.
To cancel, you may email admin@chopracircuits.co.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may also communicate your decision by post to:
Surinder Singh Chopra trading as Chopra Circuits (trading as Chopra Circuits) 11 Swallowfield house, 450/448 bath road, Hounslow, TW4 7RR
If you cancel in accordance with this section, we will reimburse payments received from you as required by law, normally using the original payment method. We may withhold reimbursement until goods supplied as part of the contract have been returned, where the law permits.
If you expressly ask us to begin the service before the end of the 14-day cancellation period, you must pay a proportionate amount for the work properly carried out up to the time you cancel. If the service is fully performed during the cancellation period after your express request and acknowledgement of the consequences, your cancellation right may end as provided by law.
The statutory cancellation right may also not apply in certain circumstances set out in law. This does not affect any other statutory rights you may have.
Carrying out the work
We will carry out the agreed services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable legal requirements.
We may use suitable replacement materials or equipment where the quoted items are unavailable, provided that the replacement is of equivalent or better quality and does not materially reduce the agreed service. We will seek your agreement where a material change is required.
Any waste created by the work will be dealt with as agreed or as required by law.
Defects and remedial work
If you believe that our workmanship does not conform to the contract, contact us promptly at admin@chopracircuits.co.uk, explaining the problem and providing reasonable details of the work concerned.
We will investigate genuine complaints and, where we are responsible, will normally offer an appropriate remedy such as repair, repeat performance or a price reduction, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
You must give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and fix workmanship defects. We are not responsible for defects caused by misuse, accidental damage, alterations by others, failure to follow instructions, pre-existing faults, or materials supplied by you unless the law provides otherwise.
These terms do not limit any statutory rights relating to the quality, safety or conformity of services.
Equipment and manufacturer warranties
Where equipment or materials are supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty, we will pass on the benefit of that warranty to you where we are able to do so. The manufacturer’s warranty is subject to its own terms, exclusions and claims process.
A manufacturer’s warranty does not replace your statutory rights or our responsibility for workmanship. We are not responsible for a manufacturer’s failure to honour its warranty, but we will reasonably assist with information needed to make a valid claim where appropriate.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited; or
- your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to the above, we are responsible for direct loss that is reasonably foreseeable as a result of our breach of contract or negligence.
We are not responsible for loss caused by your breach of these terms, inaccurate information, lack of access, unauthorised alterations, misuse, pre-existing defects or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
For business customers, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill or loss of anticipated savings, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits a business customer’s obligation to pay for work properly carried out.
Complaints
We aim to resolve complaints promptly and fairly. Please first contact us at admin@chopracircuits.co.uk, giving your name, address, booking or invoice details where available, and a clear description of the issue.
We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable time. You should allow us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, put matters right.

We handle personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We use personal data where necessary to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, arrange and perform services, process payments, maintain records, deal with complaints and comply with legal obligations. We will only use personal data for lawful purposes and retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary or legally required.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms applying to your booking will be the terms in force when the contract is formed, unless a change is required by law or you agree to it.
Governing law and courts
These terms and any contract between us are governed by the law of England and Wales.
